Toonsical is another production that I was involved. The idea of the show was to bring your favorite Cartoon songs to life. And this show celebrated my come back to Los Angeles.
I got to perform with a great person and sharing the stage with her was always a blast. But one thing that I started to understand better is skill level and the importance of an audition. We had a very diverse cast and different skill levels. I did not comprehend at first how that happened because we had very drastic differences in our cast. So I started to think about the audition process. We actually sang one song and that was it. First rehearsal, they make us dance. 90% of our cast doesn't know how to dance and one day before the show we were still changing the choreography to make it easier. That, unfortunately, was really stressful and mind-blowing to me. The show was definitely an eye-opening experience and I loved working with our Cartoon girls. (By the way, the one in the picture with the red shirt, WATCH OUT!! She is FIERCE) This year's Holiday celebrations I got to spend in Europe! I had such a blast even though it was super cold and you know me, BRAZILIAN, I sure do not know how to handle cold temperatures.
My sister lives in Germany and me and my mom traveled from LA and Brasil to celebrate. Christmas we spent with my sister's husband family. It was really nice. We had a nice dinner and exchanged some gifts. New Year's we went on a boat ride and saw the New Year fireworks at the Rhein River. That sure was beautiful and magical. Here we go 2014!! Let's do this. |
